STRUCTURE

Each piston is arranged radially. When pushing the piston, a compressed air pressure is transmitted to a crank through its rod, thereby rotating the crank. A rotary valve rotates in synchronization with this crank and supplies air to each cylinder or exhausts air from the cylinder.

SPECIALTY
  • This air motor has been delivered to many customers over the years. The motor is mounted on a base or flange. Additionally, it has various options such as a brake, a reducer, a control valve, or other item.
  • If the motor is used in a meter-out circuit (speed control by a throttle valve), strong engine braking can be expected.
  • Each sliding part is subject to oil-bath lubrication. A line oiler is not fundamentally required, but in the case in which the motor is operated continuously, used infrequently, or used vertically (output axis in a downward direction), we recommend that the line oiler be placed on the air supplying side(primary ductwork).
  • An air motor with a control valve enables a user to control its rotating speed or direction.
  • The motor provides high torque in a low-speed range. Therefore, it is used for machines requiring high starting torque such as winch and hoist.
Note
  • Use the motor horizontally. Before using it vertically (output axis in a downward direction), please consult with us.
  • In the case of an air motor with a brake, please use a center-open type control valve that neutrally exhausts air. In a center-close type, the brake is disabled because it does not allow for exhaust.
  • The motor is subject to oil-bath lubrication. Please check an oil level in the motor by an oil gauge and lubricate it on a regular basis.
  • Please connect a flexible ductwork or similar piping to the air supplying or exhaust port.
